A broad view of the ruins.

A great shot of playful Marcela and the sprawling ruins behind.

Cara del Inca

This is the Face of the Inca, a formation in the rocks near the ruins that looks strikingly like an Incan profile. No one knows whether the formation is natural or man-made. It is believed to be mostly natural, with a little human interference around the eyes, as they are fairly exact.

This is the Cara del Inca from further away. Not that great of a picture of the Cara itself, but a good snap of the landscape.
While we were walking back, we came across a small hut with a woman selling these dolls. The indigenous make all sorts of goods by hand which they sell to sustain a living, ranging from tobaggans to blankets to stone figurines to corn. These dolls are but one example.
Shortly after passing the dolls, we crossed paths with this turkey and its family. It was none too happy to see us, squawking and charging us and sprawling its feathers to make itself seem as big as possible in order to strike fear into our hearts. It was an entertaining experience.
One more snap before heading home.
