Iglesia de las Conceptas
This is a convent located in the absolute center of town, just 20 feet away from our apartment. It is a private community for Catholic nuns who, once committing, are not allowed to leave its walls, forever bound to the service of the Lord in this completely self-sufficient society. Likewise, it is not accessible by the public.

This church is unique in that you can see it from any distance on Calle Simón Bolivar, since it stands facing the street at the end of a rare staggered block. Most churches are hidden from sight until you are right upon them.
