Perito Moreno is one of the world's few advancing glaciers, advancing to the glacial waters of Lago Argentino, where frozen chunks and entire slabs cleave from the river of ice in magnificent crackling explosions of sound and upheaval of lake. | |
Lago Argentino covers a surface of 1,600 km2, with a length of 60 km, width of 14 km, and depth of 300 m. | |
